微软Windows Phone高级主管布兰顿·沃森（Brandon Watson）在Twitter上发表了一条博文，希望WebOS开发人员能够加入到Windows Phone事业部，微软将为他们提供良好的开发平台、培训、所需的开发工具等等。
自上周末发布微博后，沃森已收到500多封电子邮件和1000条左右回复，这些回应均来自于对为Windows Phone 7设计应用程序感兴趣的WebOS开发者。
在另一条博文中，沃森强调，微软对于所有软件开发人员的加盟都表示热烈欢迎，WebOS 开发人员在过去一周中肯定会觉得很难熬，希望他们加入微软大家庭。
惠普上周进行战略调整，剥离PC业务，放弃webOS平台。瓦特森随即在Twitter上表示，愿意向webOS开发人员提供“获得成功所必需的一切东西——包括免费的手机、开发工具和培训等”。
